Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Rinse

Apple cider vinegar is famous for being an excellent hair and skin care product. It cleans your face and hair thoroughly, it prevents hair breakage and fallout and what you get as a result is silky and voluminous hair.

Apple cider vinegar can also reduce the itching sensation and eliminate dandruff, destroying all the germs and bacteria.

It is abundant with a number of nutrients which are great for forming luscious locks such as vitamin C, vitamin B and potassium. Its slightly acidic nature enables it to restore the natural pH of the acid layer. Frequent treatment with ACV reinforces the surface layer of the hair and flattens the cuticle, giving us hair that shines, “slides” easily, and reduces tangling or snagging.

Washing your hair with apple cider vinegar is especially recommended if you want to improve its quality, restore the pH balance and encourage hair growth.

How can you use apple cider vinegar for every hair type?

  • Naturally curly, thick or long hair: Mix half a cup of apple cider vinegar (ACV) with 1 liter warm water and rinse your hair with the mixture.
  • Straight, thin or short hair: Mix 1 tablespoon of ACV with 1 cup of warm water and rinse your hair with the mixture.
  • Chemically treated or colored hair: Mix half a cup of ACV with 2 cups of warm water and rinse your hair with the mixture.

How often should you wash your hair with ACV?

  • Naturally curly, thick or long hair: once every 2 weeks
  • Straight, thin or short hair: once a week
  • Chemically treated or colored hair: once a month

If you can find, try to use raw and organic vinegar for this apple cider vinegar hair rinse instead of the commercial type. The organic ACV is better for the hair because the commercial types are stripped of the majority of good bacteria that happen naturally and a good part of the nutrients and enzymes.
