5 Signs You Need to Eat More to Lose Weight

Eating healthy and eating five meals a day doesn’t mean you’re going to lose weight. People believe they have to eat fewer calories to lose weight, basically meaning starving themselves. However, today you’ll learn some signs you need to eat more to lose weight.

You can lose those extra pounds without jeopardizing your well-being, without feeling angry nor depriving yourself of the food you need.

5 Signs You Need to Eat More to Lose Weight

Being on a diet or wanting to lose weight doesn’t mean you should starve yourself.

1. You’re Always Hungry

One of the first signs that you need to eat more to lose weight is that you’re always hungry. You must keep in mind that losing weight and starving yourself don’t have to go hand in hand.

Do you skip breakfast? Do you not snack? Do you not eat as much as you should? Try eating 5 times a day. And make sure you eat healthy foods that will satiate you.

Being hungry all the time can make you gobble up the first thing in front of you just because you’re ravenous. If you space your foods wisely and eat healthily, you won’t fall into temptation nor starve yourself.

2. You Get Bad Headaches

Another symptom that you need to eat more to lose weight is that you suffer from bad headaches. If this isn’t associated with any pathology such as migraines or your period, then you may not be eating enough.

When you don’t eat enough, skip meals, and don’t eat right because you’re on a restrictive diet, your brain doesn’t get the glucose it needs to function properly.

When your brain takes notice of this lack of glucose, it suffers an energy shortage that manifests itself with headaches. The solution is eating more and eating right.

3. You Procrastinate

Procrastination means putting off until tomorrow what you can do today for whatever reason. When you don’t eat enough, you may feel weak and not want to do anything.

And if you don’t eat right and are hungry, you’re more likely to not get a good night’s rest.

Getting a good night’s sleep makes the difference between a day with great performance and a day with poor performance. If you sleep poorly, you’re more likely to procrastinate and become distracted.

If you add a possible headache to mix, then you’ll definitely end up procrastinating. You have to eat enough to have the strength and desire to take on your day to day responsibilities.

4. Everything Bothers You

People often say that they’re irritable because they’re hungry. Being hungry puts you in a bad mood, where everything bothers and upsets you.

This is because you’re not giving your body what it needs and you feel uncomfortable due to that hunger.

You may even feel worse if you eat something you shouldn’t, like a chocolate bar or a biscuit, because it may make you feel guilty.

5. You Don’t Poop Enough

When you don’t poop enough, it may be because you’re not eating right, unless you suffer from chronic constipation. Chances are you’re not drinking enough water.

If you don’t eat the food your body needs for energy and normal functioning, it’s very likely that you’re also not drinking enough water.

Drinking enough water may improve constipation. You also have to analyze if you’re not consuming enough fiber due to the fact you’re not eating enough.

These are some of the signs that indicate you need to eat more to lose weight because, as we mentioned above, yes, eating less and not eating right can make you lose weight, but at what price? You also have to consider the side effects.

You simply have to change your eating habits and eat smaller and healthier meals (including fruits and vegetables). Have you ever gone on a diet and suffered from these symptoms because you didn’t eat right?
